Former West Indies captain and legendary all -rounder Kieron Pollard recently shared his views on his former Mumbai Indians (MI) team partner Rohit Sharma’s decision to retire from Test cricket.
Kieron Pollard admitted that Rohit Sharma had a brilliant career and he understands what he wants for his future. The former West Indies captain further said that Rohit has always been proud of his performance, and this mentality will continue to carry it forward.

Rohit announced his retirement from Test cricket in May this year just before India’s ongoing Test tour of India. He had already retired from T20I cricket after winning the T20 World Cup in 2024. Hitman completed his Test career with 4301 runs in 67 matches with an average of 40.57.
His highest score in Tests was 212. The right -handed batsman also led India in 24 matches, lost 12, lost 9 and pulled 3 games in the longest format of the game. On the other hand, Rohit finished his T20i career as a leading run scorer with 4,231 runs in 159 matches.

In particular, Pollard is considered one of the most destructive batsmen and talented all-rounders in white-ball cricket. The West Indies icon has 2706 runs and 55 wickets in 123 Odis.
