Deep Dasgupta sends strong message to Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli on India’s future
Meanwhile, former India wicketkeeper Deep Dasgupta has insisted that there should be no questions over Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s place in the team as they have earned that trust through consistent performances over the years.
His comments come amid the ongoing discussion over his ODI future as India begin preparations for the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2027. Even some reports have claimed that Rohit is not in the team’s plans for the mega events to be held in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia next year.
“This has to be a conversation with everyone, not just them (Kohli and Rohit): They have to start the series well and get on the field,” Deep Dasgupta said in a video on his YouTube channel, as quoted by the Indian Express.
