Senior India opener Rohit Sharma has regained his place by overtaking New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell in the ICC ODI batting rankings ahead of the three-match ODI series against South Africa starting November 30 in Ranchi.
Rohit Sharma has once again become the world number one batsman in the updated ICC ODI batting rankings shared by the organization on Wednesday, November 26. The Hitman’s stellar performance in India’s last ODI series in Australia helped him return to the top of the rankings.

The former Indian captain gained one place and reached the number one position with 781 rating points. In fact, Daryl Mitchell did not play the last two ODIs against West Indies, due to which the Kiwi star lost rating points, leaving Rohit Sharma at the number one spot.
West Indies’ Shai Hope also broke into the top 10 of the latest ICC ODI batting rankings after his brilliant century against New Zealand in the recent ODI series. Hope moved up two places to 8th with 701 rating points, her second-best career rating.

However, Rachin Ravindra moved up to 12th in the ICC ODI batting rankings, while Devon Conway moved up 11 places to 31st. New Zealand’s bowlers also made big progress, with Mitchell Santner moving up to sixth and Matt Henry breaking into the top 10 after the 3–0 win over the West Indies.
Sikandar Raza becomes No. 1 T20I all-rounder at the age of 39
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe’s T20I captain and star all-rounder Sikandar Raza has reached a career milestone by becoming the No. 1 ranked T20I all-rounder for the first time. The 39-year-old player is in excellent form with both bat and ball.
Raza’s recent efforts in the T20I tri-series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan helped him overtake Pakistan’s Sam Ayub to take the top spot. Raza has been one of the top 10 T20I all-rounders since the 2022 T20 World Cup. He was also named the No. 1 ODI all-rounder in September and is currently the second-best all-rounder in the world in this format.
Well, Saim Ayub has slipped to second place in the ICC T20 all-rounders rankings, while Mohammad Nawaz has dropped to seventh after impressing in the T20I tri-series. Another Pakistani, Sahibzada Farhan, moved up to fourth place among T20I batsmen, and Babar Azam moved up to 29th after a recent half-century in the T20I tri-series.
In the latest ICC Test rankings, Australian batsman Travis Head has moved up to sixth position after scoring a match-winning century against England in the first Ashes Test, while Ollie Pope has gained four places to 24th.
Mushfiqur Rahim moved up seven places to 30th and Liton Das and Mominul Haq both moved up eight places to 37th and 46th. Mitchell Starc’s 10 wickets against England in Perth took him to fifth place in the Test bowling rankings.
Bangladesh spinner Taijul Islam also moved up to 15th after leading his attack in the 2-0 Test series win over Ireland. Islam was the Player of the Series for taking 13 wickets in 2 matches.
On the other hand, England captain and star all-rounder Ben Stokes gained one place to become the world’s second-ranked Test all-rounder, while Ravindra Jadeja remains at the first position after his stellar performance against South Africa.
