The moment quickly went viral and became the highlight of the high-scoring thriller which South Africa won by four wickets against India in Raipur on Wednesday. Now the three-match ODI series will be played in Visakhapatnam on 6 December.
Interestingly, this was not the first time that Rohit’s patience was tested with Kuldeep. During the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 presentation ceremony in Dubai, Kuldeep delayed wearing the Champions blazer given to him by the then BCCI President Roger Binny.
Rohit, who was waiting in the queue, looked ready to scold him, but Kuldeep quickly wore it down and escaped the next scolding.

Rohit Sharma set to join Mumbai for SMAT 2025 Knockout
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma is planning to play for Mumbai in the knockout stage of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025, as the BCCI has made it mandatory for him and Virat Kohli to play domestic cricket if they want to remain in consideration for the ICC World Cup 2027.
The 38-year-old is expected to turn his attention towards T20 cricket after the end of the ODI series against South Africa. The knockout matches of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 will be held in Indore from 12 to 18 December.
And Mumbai are all set to seal their place in the knockouts of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 after winning all four league matches in Lucknow and topping Elite Group A with 16 points.
“Rohit has expressed his desire to play for Mumbai in the SMAT knockouts,” The Times of India quoted a Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) source as saying.
