It is always very difficult to choose between Rohit and Virat, but Azam takes very little time to name his favorite player and that is Rohit. The Pakistani keeper-batsman mentioned that he admires Virat Kohli a lot, but he is one Rohit Sharma fan.

The video features many cricket legends along with active cricketers, making the challenge more difficult. At the beginning of the video, the keeper-batsman described himself as a fan of Rohit, and he mostly voted for the former India cricketer. But, there is a special name in the video, due to which Azam pushed his favorite cricketer to the second place.
“Personally, I like Virat Kohli, no, I mean Rohit Sharma,” he said.

Rohit was on top in Azam’s list
After comparison with Virat Kohli, there were legends like Kumar Sangakkara, Brian Lara, AB de Villiers, Babar Azam, Joe Root and Ricky Ponting. Azam has been keeping Rohit at the top player. Even when Babar Azam’s name is mentioned in the video, the keeper-batsman mentions Rohit within a few seconds.
He struggled a bit during the Rohit vs Brian Lara comparison. But in the end it was Rohit Sharma only. For the last set of comparisons, it was Rohit vs Sachin Tendulkar. Now this video has become even more intense. Rohit Sharma is his favorite cricketer, but since the name of the opposing candidate is Sachin Tendulkar, he had no option but to choose Sachin Tendulkar.

For the final set of comparisons, it was Sachin Tendulkar Vs Sir Vivian Richards. It was a tough question for the 27-year-old cricketer. Azam Khan said, “I haven’t seen Viv Richards much, but I’ve heard he was a great player and changed the game. But I personally adore Sachin Tendulkar.”
So, the winner of this rapid-fire round video was Sachin Tendulkar. However, Rohit Sharma dominated most of the time. Sachin came in the last few rounds and completely stole the show.

In recent times, Azam Khan has been seen in several podcasts and online discussions on social media platforms. However, his form has not been very good in the last few years. In the recently concluded Pakistan Super League 2026 (psl 2026), the keeper-batsman managed to score 236 runs for Karachi Kings in the tournament at an average of 33.71.
His batting average in ILT20 2025 was only 10. He last played for the national team during the T20 World Cup 2026, where he got to play only one match, which was against the USA. Azam was out on a golden duck in this game.
