RR captain performed tremendously with the bat in the IPL 2026 season

Riyan Parag’s IPL 2026 season was mostly cold. This was his first Indian Premier League season as the full-time captain of Rajasthan Royals. Following the departure of Sanju Samson ahead of the 2025 season, the franchise appointed homegrown talent Parag as its captain. He took the team to the playoffs but missed the finals. In Qualifier 2, they lost to Gujarat Titans and were eliminated from the title race.

In the season, the 24-year-old scored 309 runs at an average of 23.76 in 14 matches and as many innings. In so many innings, Riyan Parag scored only a few half-centuries. He made headlines for the wrong reasons midway through the season. During a live match, he was caught vaping inside the dressing room, causing widespread controversy on social media platforms.

Parag’s manager has shared a story on Instagram

In an Instagram story, Riyan Parag’s manager Aastha shared another message for cricket fans. She urges cricket fans not to share anything negative about cricket as Parag is going through a tough phase in his career at the moment.

The Instagram story reads, “If you are unable to send blessings and well wishes, that is your choice. But at this time, please avoid spreading negativity and toxicity. Kindness costs nothing, and sometimes silence speaks louder than hatred. Wishing you strength, healing and a speedy recovery.”
