“Pants were violated by Article 2.8 of ICC Code of Conduct for players and players aid personnel, which is related to showing dissatisfaction in the umpire’s decision during an international match.“A statement from the ICC said.
“In addition, a demerit point has been added to the disciplinary records of pants, for which this was the first crime in 24 months,” the statement said.
Pant accepted allegations of dissatisfaction without competition. The ICC confirmed that Pant accepted in his crime and agreed to a penalty proposed by Richie Richardson, a member of the ICC Elite Panel, the Emirates of Match Referee.
The statement said, “Pant was accepted in the crime and the ICC match referee’s Emirates was accepted by Ricchi Richardson of the ICC Elite Panel.”
“The allegations were brought with the third umpire Sharfudaula Ibne Shahid and the fourth umpire, Mike Burns by the on-field umpire, Chris Gaffaini and Paul Refel,”.
Rishabh Pants blown the old ball in desperation after denying the replacement of umpires.
During the 61st over of England’s first innings, Rishabh Pant was disappointed after the on-field umpires rejected the request to change the ball. Set well at the crease with Harry Brook and Ben Stokes and the ball lost its effectiveness after 60 overs, Jasprit Bumrah had expressed concern about his situation.
However, the umpires found the ball within the acceptable range after the ball was tested. Pant again approached the umpires with the ball after a border was killed by Mohammad Siraj.
When the authorities refused to authorize a change, the pants threw the ball on the ground in front of them. This response came amid the growing disappointment at the Indian camp, as the bowlers struggled to have an impact with the old ball.
