The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shared a major update on Rishabh Pant’s finger injury, and it is not good for the India National Cricket Team in the third Test against England at the prestigious Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.
During the 34th over of England’s innings on day 1, Jasprit Bumrah slipped a ball towards the foot. Rishabh Pant dives to collect the ball, but could not catch it clearly. The ball slipped into the past, allowing England to steal two byes in Lord’s. Just after the dive, the Indian wicketkeeper was seen in great pain.

The injury forced him to leave the ground for medical attention, and he did not return for the rest of the day, and Dhruv Juraral captured wicketkeeping duty for India in the ongoing third test against England. Later, it was confirmed that Pant had taken a hit on his left index finger.

Now, in a major shock for India, the BCCI has confirmed that Pant continues to recover from a blow from its left index, and the medical team is closely monitoring its position and recovery. With the pants not being fully fit, Dhruv will continue the wicketkeeping duties at 2 days 2 in Jurall Lords.
