The BCCI has amended the game position and allows a new rule, which allows the replacement of injury to multi-day formats for the upcoming domestic season, an idea that has recently been interacting since the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, which also included several injuries in the series, including the Bharat Star Rishabh Pant fracture.
It is believed that the rule change, which was demanded by Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir, was opposed by English captain Ben Stokes, who called it a ridiculous suggestion. In the series, a player from each side, Rishabh Pant and Chris Woakes suffered injuries that excluded them from further contribution to the game.
“Of course, I am doing everything for this,” Gambhir said after Pant’s injury during the fourth test in Manchester.
