Rishabh Pant suffered serious injuries on three parts of his body during India A’s second unofficial Test against South Africa and left the field. Doubts remain over his return to the field and updates on his Indian team visit are awaited.
India A is currently playing South Africa A in a two-match unofficial Test match series, with Rishabh Pant as the captain of the India A team.
On his return from injury, this player has also been made the vice-captain of the Indian team for the South Africa tour.

Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant was ruled out of the game after suffering a fracture during the England tour and it took him almost two months to return to the field. On his return to India A, he is yet to fire with the bat but has shown glimpses of his usual batting standards.
In the second unofficial Test, he suffered several injuries, first to his helmet while attempting an unconventional ramp, then to his left elbow while attempting to pull a ball, and finally, a third injury to his stomach.
He spoke to the on-field physio and decided to retire hurt and called up Dhruv Jurel in his place.

Rishabh Pant lasted for a short time in the first innings, Dhruv Jurel confirmed his place for India with his strong performance.
While Rishabh Pant made his place for the second unofficial Test, after leading his team to victory in the previous match, he looked determined to continue his dominance from the last game. However, things did not go according to plan for the captain, although he seemed to be moving forward with full confidence.
Pant promoted himself to his natural position for the second game, leading to the return of Indian players KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel in the batting order as they replaced Rajat Patidar and Ayush Badoni in the XI.
Pant scored 24 runs in just 20 balls with the help of three fours and a six; However, he was out to Tshepo Moreki, the same bowler who had attacked and hit him several times when he was batting on 17 in the second innings.
