Team India wicketkeeper-son Rishabh Pant has shared an update on his fitness before the fourth Test of the five-match series starting on July 23 at Old Trafford, Manchester. On Sunday, India’s vice-captain shared a 31-second video of its own, which promotes optimism about their availability for testing.

Rishabh Pant suffered a finger injury during India’s 22 -run loss in England in the third Test at Lord’s Cricket Ground. The injury stopped him from taking gloves, in which Dhruv Jurlel stepped as a substitute wicketkeeper. However, the left -handed batsman contributed to the bat in both the innings of the match.

Pants scored 74 off 112 balls in the first innings, including eight fours and two sixes. However, the left -handed batsman chased the target of 193 and scored just nine runs in the second innings.

The vice-captain has been outstanding in the entire series, scoring 425 runs in six innings at an average of 70.83 with two centuries and two half-centuries. He is India’s second largest run-scorer after captain Shubman Gill.

Rishabh Pant shared a video on social media, offering a positive update on his recovery from a finger injury during the third Test against England.

In the clip, the pants can be seen batting in the trap, participated in a fielding drill, and playing football, showing that it is with full fitness. The video was captioned, “If there was a quiet one sound, it would be,” pointing to his readiness for the upcoming match.

With India leaving 1–2 in a five-match series, they need to win in Manchester to live alive. The presence and performance of pants will be important for team opportunities.

Do not think the injury will exclude Rishabh – Ryan Ten Dotate

Team India’s assistant coach Ryan Ten Dotk opened about uncertainty about the availability of pants for the Manchester Test. He revealed that the pants are expected to bat before the test and it is said that the injury is unlikely to rule them.

“He will bat in Manchester before the test. See, I don’t think the injury is going to keep Rishabh out of the test, it doesn’t matter,” Dochet asked reporters on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Ansul Kamboj is queuing up for a start in the Manchester Test against the England National Cricket Team, as star Pamens Arshdeep Singh and Akash are down with deep injuries.
