Match No. 68 of the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Ekana Stadium, Lucknow. Arjun Tendulkar, who made his debut for the Super Giants, was deprived of taking the first wicket for the franchise in his very first over by his own captain Rishabh Pant.
After all 13 matches, Arjun Tendulkar is playing the final game of the season for LSG, sitting on the bench. He has been under the scanner due to his father’s achievements in the game of cricket. He has always been in the shadow of Sachin Tendulkar and has been rated according to his father’s standards.

Arjun Tendulkar fell far short of his first LSG wicket
He came into the bowling in the very next over after the power play and almost took the wicket of Prabhsimran Singh as the left-arm pacer bowled a bouncer to the wicket-keeper batsman, who sent it to Rishabh Pant, who dived to his left and dropped a difficult catch in the game. This incident happened in the 6.4th over of the match.

Josh Inglis stands in for LSG
Invited to bat first, Ayush Badoni played a blazing inning of 43 runs before being dismissed by a brilliant stumping by Prabhsimran Singh. Once again, it was Josh Inglis who saved the day for the Super Giants.

Inglis scored 72 and made 37 with Abdul Samad adding the finishing touch to help LSG post 196/6 in 20 overs. Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the bowlers scoring 24/2 in his four overs.
Shreyas Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh are leading the innings.
Prabhsimran Singh is currently batting on 43 runs and was out on the score of 21 runs. Fielding has been a problem for many teams in this season of IPL. However, after the delivery, the keeper batsman went fully aggressive and was close to his half-century in the game along with his captain Shreyas Iyer.
That was followed by two quick wickets of LSG paceman Mohammed Shami, who picked out Priyansh Arya for a golden duck, and then dangerous-looking Cooper Connolly, who was back on 18 on the night. At 22/2, Prabhsimran and Shreyas now have a partnership of 88 runs between them and are getting closer to the run chase.
