Tata Indian Premier League (IPL), match number 23, was between Royal Challengers (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). RCB won the toss and decided to bowl first. During the game, another injury scare occurred when LSG captain Rishabh Pant suffered an elbow injury while batting against Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood.
Rishabh Pant could not continue further and retired hurt and returned to the pavilion. The LSG captain was disappointed with himself for not being able to continue. Hazlewood came to console the wicketkeeper batsman as he demonstrated sportsmanship while walking back towards the dugout. If Pant does not come back, it will be a big blow for the LSG camp.
Pant’s injury may have been at the wrong place as LSG’s top order has not been performing well and two wickets have fallen in the early stages of the game, with Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran returning to the pavilion. The Super Giants are really in trouble as RCB bowlers are dominating LSG throughout.
Rishabh Pant needs to come out to bat because he is courageous
