India captain Rishabh Pant took a brilliant catch to dismiss South African batsman Tony de Zorzi off the bowling of Mohammed Siraj late on the first day of the second Test match.
Unlike Eden Gardens, the Guwahati track has been good for batting. After the dominance of the South African batsmen in the first session, the Indian bowlers made a good comeback.

The Proteas batsmen had a change in their batting roles this time, as Tristan Stubbs was once again promoted up the order, while Tony De Zorzi and Wiaan Mulder were sent to bat in the middle order.
After 80 overs, the second new ball was taken and Rishabh Pant again called Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj to share the new ball. After a quiet over from Bumrah, Siraj broke the 45-run partnership between Tony De Zorzi and Senuran Muthusamy with his first ball.
Pitched on a good length, the ball moves slightly towards the off side; Zorzi went to poke the line of the ball and that too without any proper foot movement. Rishabh Pant, showing cat-like reflexes, dived to his left and caught the ball with both hands.
Stumps were declared without that over being completed, as South Africa batted for the day with a score of 247/6.
