Three -time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have made major changes after the disappointing IPL 2025 season. The Kolkata franchise has participated with Chandrakant Pandit, who became the second Indian head coach only after Ashish Nehra, as well as to win the IPL title, with bowling coach Bharat Arun.
Chandrakant Pandit took over in August 2022 as the head coach of Kolkata Knight Riders. He was with the team for three IPL sessions from 2023 to 2025. KKR won his third IPL title by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final during the IPL 2024 season.
However, the team performed disappointing in the next season, finishing eighth in standing with just five wins out of 14 matches.

India Arun joined Kolkata Knight Riders in 2022 after his successful tenure as India’s bowling coach. The combination of Arun, Pandit, Mentor Gautam Gambhir and captain Shreyas Iyer played an important role in KKR’s Championship winning campaign.
Arun is considered one of India’s top bowling coaches. He first served as the bowling coach of the national team from 2014 to 2015 and then from 2017 to 2021 T20 World Cup.
Bharat Arun has brought the treasure of experience playing a role in the National Cricket Academy and playing a role as a boat -19 coach of India. He worked closely with KKR’s young bowlers, including Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora.
Harshit has already made his debut for India for India, while Vaibhav emerged as the most wicket -taker of KKR in IPL 2025.
Bharat Arun is likely to convert Eric Simmons into CSK bowling coach
Chennai Super Kings are set to make changes before IPL 2026. Bharat Arun is likely to join the franchise as his new bowling coach, replacing coach Eric Simmons for a long time. While CSK officials have not officially confirmed the move, the Times of India has reported that Arun is ready to play the role.

CSK ended at the bottom of the table with just four wins out of 14 matches in 2025. The team struggled with injuries and excellent performances throughout the campaign. Through the season, Ruturaj Gikwad’s injury forced MS Dhoni to return as captain.
Eric Simmons has been part of the CSK setup since 2018, and Sreedharan Shriram was brought as an assistant bowling coach for IPL 2025. The franchise aims to rebuild and address major issues in its assistant employees after a forgetful season.
