Rishabh Pant falls for 25 in 2 Tests
Star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant played a decent knock for his team in the second Test, and after spending some time in the middle, he appeared ready for a big score.
Many people who killed twin tones in the headingley Test to play a big knock in Birmingham expected pants, but wicketkeeper-batsman threw his wicket after being waged by England spinner Shoaib Bashir.
On the first ball of the 61st over, Shoaib Bashir delivered the pants at a speed of 74 kmph, which failed to go under it and flat the ball towards Zak Croly in the long-on. The Fielder of England, moving to its right, safely held the catch.
Seeing Rishabh Pant coming out while going for a big shot, Shubman Gill was released. In addition, the pants were seen breaking their helmets in an angry dressing room after being dismissed for 25 runs off 42 balls with one four and one six.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Dinesh Karthik praised the captaincy of England National Cricket Team captain Ben Stokes for the wicket. He said:
“Great captaincy from Ben Stokes. He set a ground there to woo Rishabh Pant and hit the top. What he did? Picked the fielder in Deep!”

England took two quick wickets and Stokes is in a hurry to get Bashir out of the attack – Michael Atherton
Speaking on Sky Sports, former England captain Michael Attarton appreciated the captaincy of Ben Stokes and said:
“England take two quick wickets and Stokes is in a hurry to get Bashir out of the attack. He has done his job, has played a holding role and got success, but now England has got an opportunity, which is why the cars are back.”
Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri suggested to the Indian team to maintain runs despite losing quick wickets. He said:
“It’s time to cache. The ball is soft, it is a good batting position, the bowlers will start tired. The new ball is still 15 overs. It is not only important to block, but also look for runs at this level.”
Shastri also appreciated England for not allowing things to be tight and not allowing India to score big on a good batting track. He said:
“England will be happy with five wickets as they have gone away in good batting positions. They have not allowed India to get away and have been disciplined. Bashir has also played his role.”
