Rishabh Pant is the one who makes his plan – Satanshu Kotak

Satanshu Kotak said that Rishabh Pant has the ability to plan at the crease. Kotak said that Pant takes full control of his game plan and executes it with confidence.

“Rishabh Pant is the person who makes his plan. He decides how to play and then he goes for it,” Kotak said in a press conference after stumps.

He said, “This innings was slightly different from what you look at him normally. But this is his plan. Just because he plays aggressive cricket, it does not mean that he cannot play defensive,” he said.

After Australia Tour, Shubman Gill adjusted – Satanshu Kotak

Kotak revealed that Shubman Gill made a change in his batting after poor outing during the tour of Australia. Kotak said that he saw Gill in the net ahead of the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.

“After Australia (Tour), he thought that some things they have implemented. Because Australia (Tour) and England series (after) after the Champions Trophy and then we had an IPL, I would not say that I had a lot of time to do things (with Gill),” Kotak said.

“But obviously, he worked on some things and as soon as I saw him in the nets, I talked to him that ‘you made some changes’ and he said yes. His lots of credit to analyze him to analyze what he needed to do and I think he really did well,” he said.

We were expecting better than this – Satanshu Kotak on India’s batting fall

Shubman Gill scored disappointing outings during the Australia Test series, scoring 93 runs in five innings at an average of 18.60. However, he impressively bounced back into the first test against England in Headingly.

Satanshu Kotak expressed disappointment over the sudden collapse of the team after reaching 430 for 3 for 3. Kotak said that it was not just the lower order which failed, but also the set batsmen. He admitted that the team had expected to post a large total.

“It was a little collapse, I would say, because the batsmen were also there. For 430 to three to 471, the batsmen also came out in it, it’s not? So, it was not just the last five; it was a little fall. We were expecting it better, but it could be,” he said.
