Rishabh Pant suffered an injury

The India National Cricket Team suffered a huge injury during the Lord’s Test match against England’s national cricket team, when Rishabh Pant hurt his left hand index finger.

The incident took place on the first ball of the 34th over of the first innings when Premier Paper Jasprit Bumrah did a full-length delivery to Oli Pope to angling leg-side, and the English batsman looked at it to remove it, but completely missed it.

The ball went towards Rishabh Pant, who dived to stop the ball, but could not assemble and was hit on the index finger of his left hand.

He saw in tremendous pain after suffering the blow and received treatment from a physiotherapist. After the end of the over, he was converted into a substitute wicket-keeper by Dhruv Jurlel for the rest of the game.

However, he batted in both innings of the match despite feeling pain. In the first innings, he scored a significant 74 off 112 balls before being run out by Ben Stokes, and in the second innings, he scored 12 runs before Jofra Archer sending his off-stump cartwing.

I think he should be fine for the next Test match – Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill said in a press conference after the match after his defeat at Lord’s, “He went for a scan. I think Rishabh is fine-not a big hurt, which is good news. I think he should be fine for the next Test match.”

Gill also appreciated veteran all -rounder Ravindra Jadeja for the 61* run battle in the fourth innings.

Gill said, “One of the most experienced players and the way he performed and participated with the lower order, it was incredible,” Gill said, as quoted by Revsports.

Tomorrow’s 1 hour and today 1 hour we do not play well – Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill criticized the Indian batting unit for not doing well while chasing the target. He said:

“Tomorrow’s 1 hour and today’s 1 hour we do not play well. The top order did not fire. 30-40 runs should have been scored at the top order. But this was the first when the top order failed. But the way Jaddu Bhai and Siraj played, Kudos for him!”

Gill also harassed the fact that India gave a lot of extra extra, which eventually cost him the match. He said:

“We are getting better with fielding, although we have made some unexpected errors. We could save some limitations. Still the target was tired.”
