Karni Sena members in Aligarh district expressed strong objection to the depiction of Hindu deities in a modern and casual style. He accused Rinku of hurting religious sentiments and demanded strict action against her.

The Week quoted Sumit Tomar as saying, “Our deities wearing glasses and dancing to English songs will not be tolerated. Rinku Singh should publicly apologize to Sanatan Dharma.”
The video also included text stating that the left-handed batsman’s success was due to God’s blessings. Many believe that this message was to show their confidence and gratitude towards his journey in cricket. However, the way the message was presented generated anger rather than appreciation.
