The star cricketer finished 2025 with 97 T20 wickets, the most by any bowler in the format in a calendar year. He needed only three wickets to touch the 100 mark. What better platform than the T20 World Cup 2026 to boast of a special achievement?

As he dismissed Scotland cricket team captain Richie Berrington, Jason Holder completed his ‘century’ – 100 wickets in T20Is. With Berrington in the middle, Scotland were slowly but steadily moving towards the target score. His wicket was very important for West Indies, as the middle-order batsman had settled well on the track.

This is how Holder touched a milestone

The Caribbean fast bowler removed the Scottish pillar from their batting formation on the second ball of the 14th over of the second innings. Holder bowled a short pitched ball outside the stumps to tempt the batsman. The batsman tried to hook the ball, but the ball had no pace. The slow trap disposed of the batsman in time. The batsman somehow managed to play the cut shot, but without proper connection.

The ball flew towards deep point, where Shamar Joseph made no mistake. Richie Berrington had to score 42 runs in 24 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes. Jason Holder took his 100th T20I wicket, the first West Indies bowler to reach the milestone. Overall, sixth to take 100 wickets in all three formats in international cricket.
