Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) analyst Freddy Wilde recently gave a rare glimpse of how Kohli played a strategic role from the ground. Wilde revealed that Kohli does not rely too much on data during planning sessions and team discussions, but his intestine trend.

Wilde explained that in team meetings, where each bowler’s pattern and matchup is arranged via data, Kohli often indicates micro details that were not in the report. Their natural ability to read situations and estimate opposition plans often strengthen the team’s strategic direction. Wilde said that the mixture of instinct and insight makes Kohli a talented.

Freddy Wilde said on the love of cricket podcast, “You can see Virat’s cricketing brain kicks in those moments. We have team meetings, batting meetings … and I will often lead those people by sharing data by bowlers, their patterns, steps and matchups.

The RCB team analyst further said, “He picks up the goods that do not always show the data. He is not a person who asks for the weight of data, but what is confident that his intestine instinct is often completely lines with analytics. This is for me, talent for me.”

Meanwhile, before the start of the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against England, Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket. Earlier, right -handed batsmen were also bid farewell for T20 International, which helps India to lift the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

In Test cricket, Kohli played 123 matches, scoring 9230 runs, which was close to 47. They have 30 centuries and 31 half -centuries, which are named after him in the test. In T20Is, he scored 4188 runs out of 125 games on an outstanding average of around 49 and scored a century and 38 fifties.

However, modern day legend continues in ODI cricket. In 302 ODIs, the former Indian captain has scored 14,181 runs, with 51 hundreds and 74 fifties in his name and now one last shot in the ICC World Cup 2027.

Virat Kohli dominates IPL, India returns soon with expected

In the IPL, Kohli is always heartbroken by Royal Challengers Bangalore. He held the record for the most runs in the history of the tournament, including 8661 runs in 8661 matches, including 8 centuries and 63 fifties. He has been a consistent and prominent batsman in the IPL with RCB since 2008.

The former Indian captain can be seen in action in the ODI series on a tour of Australia later this year. However, if BCCI gives SLC a green signal for the white-ball series next month, Kohli may return to action in the national jersey more than expected.
