Ravindra Jadeja created some entertainment on a foggy Guwahati morning when he humorously tapped the ball with his finger to guide it across the ring. Umpire Rod Tucker has been awarded the ball and its position needs to be changed.
India has reached the second day of the Guwahati Test. The track of the second match is quite different from the first, providing a great balance between bowling and batting conditions. The Indian bowlers have done a remarkable job and the Proteas have also batted throughout the first day’s play.
Umpire Rod Tucker shook Ravindra Jadeja’s hand.
Early on the second day, the ball showed some unorthodoxy. India took the second new ball in the final moments of the first day’s play. After bowling less than 2 overs with the new ball, Mohammed Siraj ended the day with the successful wicket of Tony De Zorzi.
After bowling just 12 overs with the new ball, the ball spoiled and Mohammed Siraj handed it to umpire Rod Tucker.
When Tucker tried to push it through the ball-shaped ring, Ravindra Jadeja, in his unique style, pecked the ball with his fingers. Umpire Tucker shook his hand in a fun and interesting conversation.
