The left-arm spinner achieved a unique feat during the second Test against West Indies when he dismissed John Campbell for 115. He became the third highest wicket taker for India in international cricket on home soil, surpassing Harbhajan Singh.
His dismissal ended a mammoth 177-run partnership between John Campbell and Shai Hope for the third wicket. Later, Hope also completed his century and the visitors took the lead against India in the series for the first time.
Harbhajan Singh was earlier at third place with 376 wickets on home ground; With this wicket, Jadeja now has 377* wickets in his name. He joined the top three along with Indian greats like Ravichandran Ashwin (475) and Anil Kumble (476).
