Star India National cricket team wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant faced a leg fracture during the fourth Test match at Old Trafford, Manchester.
He tried to play a predetermined reverse sweep from Chris Woakes and reduced the ball on his boot, causing a bad shock to his leg. He was immediately taken out of the ground in a small car, and the scan further revealed that Pant had fractured his leg.
Ravindra Jadeja suffered a similar kind of shock during the fifth test against England and was down on the ground for some treatment, leaving the Indian team management concerned.
On the sixth ball of the 67th over, Josh Jibha bowled a deadly toe-cushion yorker, who hit Ravindra Jadeja on the front boot. The tongue was assured, he took a wicket as he did not even look back at the umpire during his appeal as Kumar Dharmasena raised his finger.
Ravindra Jadeja decided to use a DRS after a small chat with Dhruv Jurlel, and Repley showed that the impact was closed and the all-rounder survived.
Jadeja was also seen receiving treatment from physio in the middle as he got a strapping on his leg and took a pain reliever before he was ready to bat again. Thankfully, this incident was nothing like Rishabh Pant’s injury, and the all -rounder looked comfortable in the middle.

It does not seem that he is in a lot of crisis – Mail Jones on Ravindra Jadeja
Speaking on Sky Sports, Mail Jones, who was on-air, said that the all-rounder did not seem in crisis after a shock. Jones said:
“Some attention there, maybe some minor concerns for batting on the big toe of the right toe, yes. Jadeja also takes a look at a major bowler rank in Indian bowling that he does not feel as if he is in a lot of crisis, of course, of course, Physio does it and says how it seems like this?”
Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik said that it was a plumb at first sight, but technology saved the all -rounder. He said:
“On the first effect it seemed absolutely plumb to be honest. The beauty of technology would clearly say that there is something that is a bad shock that can all hurt in fairness. Jadeja really thought that he was out, he had almost started walking and then after considering to ask for a review because we don’t go for it and when they asked for it, he was almost there, he was almost there.”
Mail Jones appreciated the young keeper-botter Dhruv Jurlel for persuading Jadeja to go for a review. Jones said:
“Sports laws to be well fair have probably saved him, not that he was not hitting outside the line that was probably going to plumb to stumps that in the amazing swing back, yes, he looks down like down and it was almost as if it has gone or I should not fix it.
“Kudos to Jurel because it is an important role in the game of cricket these days, it does not need to focus on every delivery for the non-strayer, not only for those who are facing themselves for moments in this way.”
