Veteran Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has been ruled out of the Big Bash League as he was all set to make his debut as an Indian player in the BBL. He has suffered a serious injury due to which he is out of the competition.
Ravichandran Ashwin was all set to become the first Indian player to feature in the Big Bash League for Sydney Thunder. They also withdrew from the ILT20 auction and confirmed full participation in the Big Bash League.

Ravichandran Ashwin is planning to play in a foreign league for the first time as an Indian player after announcing his retirement from international cricket and IPL. While planning for a full season in the BBL, he was ruled out of participation due to a knee injury sustained in Chennai.
