Former Chennai Super Kings player Ravichandran Ashwin has starred in the IPL in the last 18 seasons. He has played for the Super Kings in all seasons of the IPL since the 2008 season. Ashwin represented several other franchises in IPL history, including Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, Rising Pune Supergiants and Rajasthan Royals.
Ashwin retired from IPL ahead of the mini-auction and has now joined the official commentary team. Ashwin has joined the Hindi commentary team in a special edition called ‘Championswali Commentary’ on Geostar.
The former CSK spinner performed for CSK between 2008 and 2015, as they also won the IPL title in 2010 and 2011 under MS Dhoni. Hence, he joined the Championswali commentary team along with many other former IPL champions.
