Chennai’s Super Kings veteran Ravichandran Ashwin confirmed that he has already registered for one of the foreign leagues and is eager to feature on the global stage and enjoy his game maximum, such as he used to play street cricket.

Veteran Indian off-spinner, international cricket as well as IPL cricket after a longer career for a decades, announced retirement from international during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy last year and recently took to his official social media account to declare his IPL retirement.

He last depicted CSK in IPL 2025 after a huge INR was purchased for 9.75 crores, but could not create a major impact for men in yellow color.

Ravichandran Ashwin revealed future plans in cricket

In the same post where the cricketer declared his retirement, he expressed his desire to play on the global stage in the other franchise Cricket League as he is no longer tied to the terms of BCCI. And now in a video shared on his YouTube channel, he said:

“Of course, I will not play anywhere and everywhere for 10 months. Whatever the requirements of each team and whom I satisfy, I will play in the leagues. I have already registered for one of the leagues and so see us how it is out.”

“It is fun to play outside India worldwide because no one knows who you are. You can enjoy it well. The bowling without any pressure will almost make the ball completely completely on the spot and even if it’s not, it’s fine because I will enjoy playing with joy in the end.”

“I want to play on the global stage the way I played street cricket. It was always in my mind and I finally want to pursue it.”

After drawing curtains on a luxurious career, Ashwin said that he would now search for opportunities that give him happiness and satisfaction.

“My point is that I want to live my life on my terms for my happiness. Until I hurt someone and perhaps some help, it gives more happiness as achievements on the cricketing field.”

Ashwin said, “Playing cricket and touching life is the final challenge of life at this level, balanced the needs of the family. Therefore, within these parameters, I am trying to see what I get time to expand my happiness,” said Ashwin.

In a decades of career spreading in 15 years, Ravichandran Ashwin has played numerous trials for India as well as an impressive ODI career. He ended international cricket with 765 wickets and 4000+ international runs for India.

He became the first Indian to enter the elite list of 7 great cricketers of the world with the same record. Sean Pollak, Daniel Vettori, Wasim Akram, Chaminda Vas, Stuart Broad, and others in the Shane Warne list.

Ashwin won the ICC World Cup and the ICC Champions Trophy with India in 2011 and 2013, where he bowled the prestigious for the last time to seal India’s victory. Ravichandran Ashwin also won the IPL twice with Chennai Super Kings in 2010 and 2011.
