Ravichandran Ashwin announced the retirement of IPL after the CSK dispute, pledged.

Former Indian mythological spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League after the devastating season with the ball in the final IPL edition of 2025.

Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has made a remarkable career in the Indian Premier League since its debut with Chennai Super Kings in 2009. He also ended in the yellow jersey after the INR was acquired for Rs 9.75 crore in Mega-auction before IPL 2025 for Rs 9.75 crore.

Chennai Super Kings experienced bowling all -rounder and former Indian legend Ravi Ashwin has announced his retirement from the most widely known franchise league in the world.

IPL has been home to veteran star, although he has represented 5 teams: CSK, Rising Pune Super Giants, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capital and Rajasthan Royals have spread in 17 sessions in their career.

He has played in 221 matches in his IPL career and has scored 187 wickets in the list of wickets in IPL, 5th place, 833 runs in his name with half a century.

Ashwin posted on his X handle, made an official announcement on IPL retirement

“They say that every end will be a new beginning; My time comes closer today as an IPL cricketer, but my time begins today as a explorer of the game around various leagues,” Ravichandran Ashwin announced his IPL retirement.

“Over the years, you want to thank all the franchisees for all amazing memories and relationships, and most importantly that @IPL and @Bcci that they have given me so far. Looking forward to enjoy and whatever is ahead of me is ready to make it,” he indicates the BCCI and future franchise cricket colleagues.
