In this season of the Indian Premier League, the Rajasthan Royals franchise has been in great form under the leadership of home-grown talent Riyan Parag. Tonight he showed no hesitation in winning the toss and bowling first. As soon as the innings started, the decision to bowl first seemed to be the right decision of the captain.
Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag made a good reshuffle in his bowlers against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
In the humid conditions in Guwahati, the RCB batsmen found it challenging to deal with the RR bowlers while maintaining an aggressive stance. As soon as Phil Salt was out for a golden duck and Devdutt Padikkal was out for 14 runs, the responsibility of taking the run rate forward was on the shoulders of Virat Kohli.
Riyan Parag-led Rajasthan Royals were well aware of the fact that Virat Kohli, well-established on deck, could change the pace quickly. To trick the batsman, Parag brought in his trick master Ravi Bishnoi.
Ravi Bishnoi lured the batsman to come out of his shell
Bishnoi gave a little more flight on the fifth ball of the fifth over. The ball bowled was on off to force the right-handed batsman to come forward. Kohli, who appeared to be in an aggressive mood, went after the ball to break it.
But the ball turned rapidly and uprooted the stump after passing between the bat and the pad. Virat Kohli was out for 32 off 16, as RCB lost their third wicket for 58 runs.
