South African batsman Rassie van der Dussen has surprisingly announced his retirement from international cricket on Thursday, April 2. Rassie van der Dussen made the difficult decision just hours after he was left out of Cricket South Africa’s central contract list for the 2026-27 season.

Van der Dussen, along with senior star David Miller, were one of the biggest names missing from the new contract list shared by CSA earlier this week.
