RCB are struggling with serious injuries as Indian youngster Rasikh Dar left the field with the physio after suffering a hamstring injury.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have not faced many injuries this season following the return of Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood, who was injured at the beginning of the season. Since then, his first injury concern came with Virat Kohli walking off the field at Wankhede.

Phil Salt, who has been sporadic on the field for the Royal Challengers and has played his part with the bat in recent games after a disappointing start to the campaign, has been ruled out with injury ahead of their game against GT.

Rasikh Dar leaves the field after physio confirms hamstring injury against GT

The young player from Jammu and Kashmir has been a good find for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He replaced Abhinandan in the RCB side after replacing bowler Yash Dayal for the opening matches of the season.

Rasikh Dar was quick in the number of wickets for the Challengers, while he has been very economical with the ball, especially in the death overs. However, bowler Chinnaswamy failed to bowl the final over against Gujarat Titans.

Rasikh Dar suffered a hamstring injury even before he could bowl the ball in the game. Dar was then assessed by the physio and taken off the field while Krunal Pandya took the ball in the final over of the game.

Krunal Pandya gave away 18 runs in the last over after injury.

After Rasikh Dar left the field, RCB’s experienced spinner Krunal Pandya was chosen to bowl the final over. Captain Rajat Patidar trusted him more than Romario Shepherd, who had given away runs in the final over against the Capitals in the last game and had bowled a 17-run over in this game too.

The left-arm spinner is known for his unique variety and has been seen bowling in a number of situations such as powerplay and death overs. However, Krunal had no answer to some long levers from West Indies legend Jason Holder.

Holder picked out Krunal and hit him to the mid-wicket boundary on two occasions. He was then hit for a four as Holder managed to score 16 runs off three balls. Krunal scored 205 runs with 18 runs in the last over with two good balls.

No Phil Salt as RCB look to chase 200+ target in Chinnaswamy

RCB will be looking to clinch the final win at Chinnaswamy as they will be playing their final game at the venue. However, they will have to chase a target of 200+ against one of the most challenging bowling lineups in the IPL.

Although they have chased such targets on previous occasions, they will miss the services of RCB opener Phil Salt, who has had a big role in those prior innings. Still with Virat Kohli in the side, they would look to chase the target well in Chinnaswamy.
