Rajat Patidar has been appointed as the captain of Madhya Pradesh for all formats before 2025-26 domestic season. Rajat Patidar will stop his latest journey with the Ranji Trophy on 15 October. He replaced Shubam Sharma as an all format captain of Madhya Pradesh.
According to Espncricinfo, the goal of Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) is to expand the impact of Patidar in the formats after his recent Golden Streak as captain. The 32 -year -old tasted the captaincy during the first season Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy last season.

Patidar has also played three Tests for India. In particular, Madhya Pradesh will open its Ranji Trophy campaign against Punjab at Indore at home.
The season will run in two phases: for the first phase from 15 October to 19 November, followed by a break for the White-Ball tournament, and the second phase was resumed from 22 January to 1 February, with a knockout determined from 6 February to 28 February.
