Rajat Patidar Scored 56 runs in just 39 balls and kept RCB alive while chasing the difficult target. He hit six fours and a sky-scraping six during his aggressive innings against Sunrisers Hyderabad, which helped him complete 100 sixes in IPL history.

RCB captain Rajat Patidar has now become the fastest Indian batsman to reach 100 IPL sixes in terms of balls faced. Rajat Patidar needed only 933 balls to reach the milestone, breaking the previous record held by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Shivam Dubey.

Dubey, who was previously part of the RCB setup, had earlier reached the milestone in 992 balls but Patidar overtook the all-rounder with his explosive batting style. However, the overall IPL record still belongs to the former West Indies all-rounder andre russell. He hit 100 sixes in just 657 balls during his illustrious IPL career with Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders.

Rajat Patidar’s rise in the IPL has been nothing short of sensational. Since making his debut in 2021, he has become one of the most dangerous middle-order batsmen for RCB. In just 55 IPL matches, the RCB skipper has hit 100 sixes for the Bengaluru franchise.
He is now only the second Indian batsman and fourth player overall to hit 100 or more sixes for RCB in IPL history. Patidar has played an important role in giving RCB the top position on the points table. He is currently the team’s third-highest run-scorer in IPL 2026 with 393 runs.
Virat Kohli is at the helm as RCB’s last six machine
Meanwhile, the record for most sixes for RCB is still in his name Virat Kohli. The Indian batting superstar has hit 312 sixes in 281 IPL matches for the franchise in the last 19 years. Kohli is the first and only cricketer in the world to hit 300 sixes for a team in T20 cricket.
Behind Kohli in RCB’s six-hitting list are two franchise stalwarts – Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers. Gayle hit 239 sixes in 85 matches for Royal Challengers Bangalore, while de Villiers hit 238 sixes during his unforgettable journey with the franchise.

RCB survives SRH shock thanks to strong NRR
