Indian cricketer Rahul Chahar confirmed his divorce from his wife Ishani Johar. After a lengthy legal process, Spinner closed a chapter in his personal life.
Chahar informed about this news through social media post. It was a long note describing what he had gone through. The cricketer described the last few months and his entire married life as a learning period. Without expressing anger or regret, he believes this is a ‘reset’, not the end.

The cricketer tied the knot with Ishani on March 9, 2022 in Goa. On February 20, 2026, Rahul Chahar announced through an Instagram post that his married life with Ishani ended after completing all the legal processes. The last fifteen months were not easy for him, as he had to move around the courts, which may have helped him learn patience, resilience and personal strength.
Rahul said in a heartfelt Instagram post, “To whom it may concern. I got married young, before I fully understood myself, my worth, or the life I truly wanted to build. What followed were years of lessons I never expected and have spent the last fifteen months bouncing around the courts, learning patience, resilience, and the power that truth can bring.”
This is a learning moment for cricket
In the post, Rahul claimed that the ending of the chapter does not make him angry, but rather makes him regretful. He characterized the situation as a stage of clarity that could help him transform through learning and awakening.
He further wrote, “Today, that chapter of my life has formally closed. After due legal process. The matter has been resolved with my resolution, which had cost a lot, bringing finality to this phase of my life. I close this chapter not with anger or regret but with clarity. Some relationships are not meant to last forever – they are meant to awaken us, teach us, and change us.”
“A Reset”
Before ending the note, Rahul vowed that from now on, whatever he creates will be based on self-respect and peace. And better options. Without any bitterness, he just wants to take with him the lessons, dignity and the courage to start again.
