Mumbai Indians (MI) rising bowler Raghu Sharma found a unique way of celebrating a wicket. He made his IPL debut for MI this season and took his first wicket for the team against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Raghu took the wicket when LSG were in the driving seat of the match in the first innings at the Wankhede Stadium.
LSG middle-order batsman Akshat Raghuvanshi dismissed MI recruit Raghu Sharma. As a part of the celebration, Raghu takes out a paper from his pocket and holds it. In a humorous manner, Mumbai Indians’ acting captain Suryakumar Yadav tried to read the paper.

In 2025, Abhishek Sharma also did a similar thing, but with a different purpose. During the IPL 2025 season, Sharma celebrated his 40-ball century for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) against Punjab Kings, revealing a note that read “This is for the Orange Army”.
LSG made a great start against MI
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) batsmen have made a good start to their innings with Mitchell Marsh being one of their openers. Josh Inglis was the other half of the opening pair for LSG for tonight’s match against Mumbai Indians (MI).
There was little grass on the pitch of Wankhede Stadium. The bowlers got some extra bounce from the new ball due to the hint of grass on the red clay pitch. But, due to the thoughtful and aggressive batting of LSG’s openers, Mumbai Indians’ acting captain Suryakumar Yadav had to immediately change his strategy.
Yadav called Afghanistan spinner Allah Ghazanfar in place of fast bowler Trent Boult in the third over of the first innings and it proved beneficial as LSG opener Josh Inglis was caught by Suryakumar Yadav.
In the next over, instead of slowing down Mitchell Marsh in the fourth over, he was dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah for 21 runs. Will Jacques gave away 21 runs in the 5th over. At the end of the power play, LSG got 90 runs for 1 wicket, which is their highest power play score this season. Nicholas Pooran has been sent in as the number three batsman for LSG, and has proved to be instantly effective for them.
