PSL again to struggle with IPL! PCB not bowing down despite BCCI pressure

The Pakistan Cricket Board did not leave its great strategy against the BCCI, as they are planning to hold the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in April and May after Ramadan, with IPL 2026, in the same time limit.

Two teams, India and Pakistan, are already entangled in not ending things, and now it has been carried forward with two biggest franchise tournaments, IPL and PSL, conflict over the same time limit,

Pakistan Super League is ready to hit the high-profile Indian Premier League again next year, as PCB is organizing the incident in the same window as IPL.,

A PSL official said that it was held this year and overlaps with the IPL due to the ICC Champions Trophy, which was held in Pakistan earlier this year,

PSL should be held in the same window as IPL 2026

PSL is likely to be held in the same window as IPL in April and May next year, as they are planning to bring two additional teams to the eleventh edition of PSL.

The reason for this is that the ICC World T20 cup is scheduled in February-March next year, and due to some other scheduled games in the international calendar, it may not be possible that PSL has to hold in its general February-March window.

Some PCB sources said, “Pakistan Board is available in December and a window available in the first half of January, but in this period, NOCs have already been given NOC to Pakistani players to play in Big Bash in Australia and have planned some domestic activities.”

PSL franchise to solve issues with PCB

PCB said after planning for an ideal window in the franchise T20 tournament in Pakistan, “Now the discussion with the franchise owners is to prepare for PSL in April-May, like this year,” PCB said after planning an ideal window in the franchise T20 tournament in Pakistan.

Sources have further revealed that many issues are yet to be resolved between PSL franchise and PCB; Therefore, there has been no formal meeting to discuss the next version of the Pakistan Super League.

On the other hand, the next edition of IPL will be played from 15 March to 31 May; Therefore, this time too, there is a strong possibility that the dates may hit the Pakistan Super League.

Pakistan’s program to prepare for two upcoming World Cups

In the preparation of the upcoming T20 World Cup, there will be a series of 3 T20 matches between Pakistan and Australia, followed by a test series of one and two matches between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

After the conclusion of the T20 World Cup and PSL, there will be a three -ODI series between Pakistan and Australia.

The series will be played in May, while there will be a 3-match T20I series between Pakistan and Bangladesh along with another 3-match ODI against Bangladesh. Pakistan will also play a 3-match T20I series against 3-Match ODI as well as Zimbabwe.
