Maharashtra Batter Prithvi Shaw scored a hundred in the Ranji Trophy warm-up match against his former side, Mumbai. He completed 140 balls, making a huge partnership of 300+ runs with opener Arshin Kulkarni.
25 -year -old Prithvi Shaw has played in 58 first -class matches so far and has scored 4456 runs in his name. He has slammed 13 centuries so far, with his 18 half -centuries in his first -class career. His best score is a huge 379, which came in the 2022-23 Ranji Trophy season.
Shaw started his first class for Mumbai against Tamil Nadu in Rajkot on 1 January 2017, when he was just 17 years old. In his debut match, he scored a great score in the second innings after being dismissed for 4 in the first innings.

Prithvi Shaw moved to his former side to Maharashtra state team for this domestic season after facing snub on several occasions in the last season.
Prithvi Shaw will play for Maharashtra in a domestic season of 2025-26. Before the start of the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season, Shaw is currently playing in a warm-up game against his former side, Mumbai.
On the day of the warm-up match to Maharashtra, the 25-year-old right-handed batsman scored a stunning century. Prithvi scored his hundred runs off just 140 balls on Tuesday. He took a single single from the new name Mumbai captain, Shardul Thakur and reached a 100 -run mark.

He came out to open an innings with Arshin Kulkarni, and both added 305 runs for the first wicket. Left -arm dynamic batsman Kulkarni scored 186 runs off just 140 balls.
He was sent back to the pavilion by Shams Mulani on the fourth ball of the 50th over. Arsin was rapidly caught by Mushir Khan, in an attempt to play a big shot under the ground from Arshin, Mulani.
At the time of dismissal, Shaw himself was batting for 116 runs with just 159 balls and later went to add more runs for his team.
Maharashtra’s Ranji Trophy 2025-26 schedule
Maharashtra will shut down its Ranji Trophy 2025-26 season against Kerala on 15 October on 15 October, and then will face Chandigarh in their second elite group B match from October 25 to 28.
After these games, Maharashtra will go to play six of its elite group B matches, which are going to be played Saurashtra, Karnataka, Punjab, Goa and Madhya Pradesh.
This season will mark Prithvi Shaw’s first season for a team other than Mumbai. The right -handed inauguration batsman has experience playing five Test matches for Team India. He started his red ball against West Indies in 2018 and scored a hundred in his debut game.
