Prince Yadav gets good news after defeating Virat Kohli in IPL 2026

Former Indian batsman Ambati Rayudu said that Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Prince Yadav can soon make his debut for the country.

Yadav has been one of the breakout talents of IPL 2026 after going through a tough phase in IPL 2025. Despite LSG struggling at the bottom of the points table, he is enjoying great individual success.

Prince Yadav’s 3/33 broke Lucknow’s losing streak

Prince Yadav’s fame skyrocketed after he dismissed former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli for a duck in the clash between the two teams in Lucknow on May 7.

Yadav also took the wickets of Devdutt Padikkal and Jitesh Sharma as LSG broke a six-match losing streak and defeated RCB by 9 runs. However, the win could not help LSG move above 10th on the points table.

In the first innings, Mitchell Marsh’s century helped LSG reach 209 runs in a match reduced to 19 overs due to rain. RCB’s DLS target was set at 213.

RCB lost both their openers in the second over and the middle order collapsed with the return of Prince Yadav in the eleventh over. RCB’s lower middle order came close, but could not cross the finish line. Yadav took three wickets for 33 runs in four overs.

“That boy is a special talent” – Ambati Rayudu on Prince Yadav

Speaking on ESPNCricinfo, Rayudu said that Yadav’s talent was special. He also said that Prince’s consistent lines were the reason for his success.

He said, “I think he is going to make his debut for India soon. The boy is a special talent. We have seen it throughout the IPL, and the way he runs in his run-up shows that he is ready for the fight.”

“He bowls heavy balls and if you see, most of his balls hit the stumps. That’s a specialty and the ball [to Kohli] It was very, very special. This is a beautiful ball to bowl, swinging right past the bat. I don’t think any batsman in the world can play him.”

“He is an all-format bowler” – Rayudu

Rayudu praised Yadav’s ability to maintain a consistent line and length. The former CSK star said that such qualities would easily make Prince a three-format bowler.

“Really, it’s incredible to watch this guy bowl. I mean it would be an absolute joy to stand in at first or second slip. I think he’s an all-format bowler, the way he looks.

Analyzing Rayudu, he said, “His fitness and also because he is so fit, he is so agile and his action is so clean, he has that consistency which most bowlers don’t have. Many bowlers bowl one or two good balls in an over, this guy bowls about four to five balls. So I think that is his strength.”
