A dream debut for Prince Yadav in Indian colors in the T20 International format. The fast bowler, who has emerged from an impressive season in IPL 2026, took not one, but three wickets in his first T20 match for the Indian cricket team.
He caught a big fish in the decider of the 2-match T20 series between India and Ireland. Ireland captain Lorcan Tucker was the first player to lose a wicket against Prince Yadav.

They cheered when Prince Yas dismissed Lorcan Tucker inside 8th Over of the first innings. The right-handed batsman was looking to hit the back side of the length ball across the line.
Instead of hitting a boundary, the Ireland captain stepped back and was caught by keeper Ishan Kishan. The batsman misjudged the bounce of the ball and was alerted. A big moment for Prince Yadav.
The success that every budding artist dreams of.

Prasidh Krishna out, Prince Yadav in
The inclusion of the 30-year-old seamer was a bit of a surprise as it is a must-win match for India ahead of the white-ball series against England.
He came into the playing eleven in place of veteran fast bowler Prasidh Krishna, who was very expensive in the previous game when India lost by 34 runs against Ireland. This was Ireland’s first win against the powerful Indian cricket team in all formats.
For the deciding match of the ongoing series, the Men in Blue have made several changes to their playing eleven. In place of Washington Sundar and Prasidh Krishna, Prince and Suryansh Shedge got their T20I debut caps. While Suryansh proved costly in his second over, Prince continued to perform well in his 4-over spell.
In a spell of 4 overs, the Lucknow Super Giants player took three wickets at an economy rate of 5.5. Lorcan Tucker, Harry Tector, who scored a half-century today, and Liam McCarthy were the batsmen dismissed by the debutant fast bowler.
Prince has displayed one of the best bowling figures as a debutant Indian fast bowler in this format. After Barinder Saran, Shivam Mavi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Navdeep Saini, Prince Yadav has confirmed his place above Jasprit Bumrah in this list.
Best figures in T20 debut for an Indian fast bowler
4/10 Barinder Sran vs Zim Harare 2016
4/22 Shivam Mavi vs SL Wankhede 2023
3/9 Bhuvneshwar Kumar vs Pak Bengaluru 2012
3/17 Navdeep Saini vs West Indies Lauderhill 2019
3/22 Prince Yadav vs Ireland Belfast 2026*
3/23 Jasprit Bumrah vs Australia Adelaide 2016
Conditions were favorable for the seamers
At the innings break, Harry Tector said that due to rain and overcast conditions, the Indian fast bowlers got extra help from the surface and they made good use of the conditions. He mentioned that his bowlers will bowl tough lengths and also mix pace in the second innings.
“I think I wouldn’t stray too far from the plan that was working the previous day. The Indian bowlers showed that if you hit those tough lengths, it can be difficult to score. It’s a bit two-paced, so use the wind to our advantage and hopefully take some early wickets,” said Harry Tector.
