IPL and PSL will clash for the second consecutive time and players who are not sold in the Indian Premier League can be selected for the Pakistan Super League for the upcoming season.
The Pakistan Super League will also be played in the same window as the Indian Premier League for this edition. Many players who remained unsold in the IPL mini-auction are likely to feature in the Pakistan Super League for the upcoming season.
Unsold IPL players whom PSL teams can target
10. Devon Conway
The former CSK batsman did not find any bidders on this occasion, as he was not given a chance to feature in IPL 2026. Despite being drafted in the first round as a batsman, Conway failed to attract any interest from teams.
However, Conway is a vital player at the top of the order for any team, and PSL teams may be keen to make room for the experienced Kiwi wicketkeeper batsman.
9. Jonny Bairstow
England batsman Jonny Bairstow has been playing in the IPL for many years, because due to his old age this wicketkeeper did not get a place in the teams. No bid was made for Bairstow in the auction.
Given his immense experience and his strike power on the ball, he will be up for grabs in the PSL auction as well.
8. Michael Bracewell
The New Zealand spin-bowling all-rounder emerged as one of the most important players of modern cricket in the shortest format of the game. However, the former RCB star did not find any bidders in the auction and he could be allowed to join any team for the 11th season of PSL.
7. Gerald Coetzee
South African fast bowler misses out on IPL contract due to persistent injuries; However, he may be picked up by PSL teams for a season or two, keeping in mind that IPL players who do not find a place here often end up in the PSL.
6. vian mulder
South African all-rounder Wiaan Mulder represents the Proteas only in the longest format of the game. Even after being released by Sunrisers Hyderabad, he failed to attract the attention of any bidder.
Mulder can be an asset for PSL teams as they already lack all-rounders, and Mulder is a batsman at any position in the middle order and can bowl quality medium pace for his 4 overs.
5. Daryl Mitchell
New Zealand all-rounder and veteran Daryl Mitchell, anyway, was a part of the PSL last season and may make a comeback in the league after being denied a role in the IPL as he went unsold in two consecutive IPL auctions. He took a huge amount from Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2024 but failed to perform.
4. Shai Hope
West Indies ODI captain Shai Hope has been the country’s most promising batsman in recent times and has often shown glimpses of his exploits in T20Is as well. However, Hope failed to find an IPL bidder and is expected to make a place in one of the PSL teams.
3. Steve Smith
Australian legend Steve Smith still wants to continue playing the shortest format of the game; However, this is the third consecutive time that he has gone unsold in the IPL auction. Like David Warner and Kane Williamson, he too may get a place in the PSL.
2. Rahmanullah Gurbaz
The Afghan wicketkeeper was a part of the KKR camp in the IPL for several years but failed to find a bidder this time due to his poor form. However, after the loss of many players from the PSL, he may make his way into the league.
1. Fazalhaq Farooqui
Farooqui, another Afghan player on the list, is often considered one of the most economical bowlers in the shortest format of the game. After being denied an IPL contract, he is now looking forward to the PSL, which is being held in the same window.
