Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken a big step against all the players included in the T20 World Cup 2026 squad. According to the latest reports, PCB has imposed heavy fine on all the players of the team. The update came on Monday (March 2) evening.
According to ESPNcricinfo, “All Pakistan squad members at the T20 World Cup have been fined PKR 5 million (approximately US$18,000) by the PCB after they missed the semi-finals.” Its update came as a big shock as it is a rare kind of decision taken by any cricket governing body across the world.

The Salman Ali Aga-led side crashed out of the tournament at the Super 8 stage despite achieving a do-or-die win against Sri Lanka. From Group 2, it was England and New Zealand who booked their places in the semi-finals of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026.
