The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken a bold and dramatic step just days before the start of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka starting from February 7. Recently, PCB announced that it will boycott India vs India match in Colombo on 15th February.
Pakistan has attacked ICC with 6 big demands before T20 World Cup 2026.
The move is to show support to Bangladesh after the International Cricket Council (ICC) removed them from the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 over their refusal to travel to India for their matches despite there being no security threat. Bangladesh were later replaced by Scotland in the tournament.
Earlier, the PCB had expressed its desire to boycott the tournament, but now they have demanded not to play any games with India, co-hosts of the showpiece event. After discussions with the Pakistan government, PCB decided to play the T20 World Cup in 2026.

But now he has reportedly put forward six shocking demands to the ICC, including chairman Jay Shah, in a last-ditch effort to avoid a boycott of the India vs Pakistan match. RevSportz journalist Rohit Juglan reported that these demands are being put forward by Pakistan as part of a mutually acceptable solution.
Resumption of India vs Pakistan bilateral series
The first and biggest demand of PCB is the resumption of full bilateral series with India. This means regular series across all formats, not just ICC or ACC tournaments. Pakistan believes that playing only in global events is unfair and wants to restore normal cricket relations as before.
The arch-rivals last played a bilateral series in 2012–13, when Pakistan toured India for a limited-overs series. Since then, the two countries have not played any bilateral series due to ongoing political tensions, and the recent military war has further worsened the situation between them.
india vs pakistan test match in wtc
Pakistan has demanded ICC to include India vs Pakistan Test match in the World Test Championship. Since playing in any country is sensitive, he suggested neutral venues such as Dubai, Melbourne, London or Harare. The Board believes that Test cricket between India and Pakistan is important for fairness and global interest.
He last played a Test match in 2007 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and that match ended in a draw and India won the series 1–0 against Pakistan.
Pakistan wants to destroy neutral places
Another major demand is to completely abolish the neutral venue system for India vs Pakistan games. Pakistan wants future matches between the two countries to be held in their home countries and not at any third venue, which is currently happening because the Indian government is not allowing the national team to cross the border due to security reasons.

Because of this, both teams play their games at neutral venues, although Pakistan came to India for the 2023 World Cup. The PCB is pushing to change this rule in the Future Touring Program (FTP) program so that teams travel to each other’s countries instead of playing at neutral venues.
PCB demands bigger share in ICC’s revenue
The PCB is also demanding a bigger cut in ICC’s revenue. At present, Pakistan gets about 5.75 percent of the total revenue of ICC. Now, he thinks it’s a much lower stake.
They have also presented viewership and revenue data to prove that matches involving Pakistan attract massive TV audiences and huge sums of money, hence they are entitled to a larger share of ICC’s revenue.
Call to end discrimination against Pakistani players in T20 league
The PCB believes that its players are being unfairly ignored or banned from T20 leagues around the world despite their good performances. Now, they want equal treatment and open access for Pakistani cricketers in global franchise leagues.
Notably, Pakistani players have been banned in the IPL, and they are not getting access to Indian-owned teams in foreign leagues, including South Africa’s SA20 and UAE’s ILT20.
Pakistan is pushing for Bangladesh’s return in T20 World Cup
In a shock move, the PCB has demanded that Bangladesh be brought back into the tournament, even though Scotland are set to fly in as replacements. He believes Bangladesh were unfairly sidelined and made their reinstatement a key condition in negotiations with the ICC.
