Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) president Mohsin Naqvi has replied that the fast bowler Haris Rauf was fined 30% of his match fees for using the derogatory language during the Super 4 clash against India in the Asia Cup 2025. The PCB has allegedly announced the intention of appealing the decision on behalf of Pesar.

According to several reports, ICC punished for Rauf Using bad words during the game. On Friday, he attended an official hearing with ICC match referee Richie Richardson and argued “not guilty”. It is worth noting that the ICC has not yet issued an official statement about the punishment given to Rauf.

Pakistan lost both matches against India. However, he defeated Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the Super Four Stage to reach the finals, where he will meet India for the third time in the tournament in Dubai on 28 September. This will be the first Asia Cup final between the two archer.

PCB to appeal for Haris Rauf after ICC restrictions

According to Revsportz, the Pakistan Cricket Board is ready to appeal against the ICC approval on Rauf. The fast bowler was punished for his conduct during the Asia Cup match against India in Dubai, making the board motivated to take action on its behalf.

“Pakistan’s pacer was approved by the ICC after the ICC approved his works against India in Dubai on 21 September,” Revsports said.

The Asia Cup has been inspected from moments of tension between India and Pakistan. Under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, India will fully focus on cricket and survive the handshake. In Blue, men have won the title eight times, while Pakistan has won two wins.
