If they pull out of Asia Cup 2025, then PCB to lift financial loss on a large scale
Pakistan’s threat to boycott the next match was ignored when the ICC stopped any such replacement for the match referee, Andy Pycroft from being declared. If the PCB forwards its dangers and turns them into reality, according to a report in PTI, there will be a revenue loss of about 12 to 16 million USD by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Five Test-playing nations- India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan- Earn 15 percent in each, which form 75 percent of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) annual revenue. The remaining shares come from associate nations. PCB is not an economically strong board to maintain such a huge financial blow.
Sony Pictures Network India (SPNI) created an eight-year deal (2024-2031) with ACC for USD 170 million. The deal also includes broadcast rights for the Women’s Asia Cup and Under -19 men’s Asia Cup.
Can Mohsin NAQVI risk lose so much revenue after the ICC refusal to PCB?
Mohsin Naqvi, who now holds the post of PCB chief and is currently the President of ACC, made an excavation at the match referee Andy Picroft. UAE will qualify for Super -4 if Pakistan decides to pull out
If Pakistan decides to withdraw from the Continental Championship, they may be wasted due to heavy financial losses. However, for a team, it can turn into a blessing in disguise, namely, the United Arab Emirates. The UAE will proceed to the unopposed Super -4 in the final group -phase game.
Keeping their return in mind, Pakistan will be removed from the competition, resulting in heavy losses to broadcasters. Overall, Naqvi and Pakistan have a lot to lose and have little profit.
