Australia Fast bowler Pat Cummins will recall the upcoming White-Ball series against India and New Zealand due to low back injury. Cricket Australia confirmed that Pat Cummins experienced back pain during the recent break. He has been dropped from the upcoming limited over series against India and New Zealand. Cummins will continue his rehabilitation, with his return to bowling and planned as part of ash preparation.
Cricket Australia’s statement said, “Cummins will not be considered for the upcoming limited-over series against India (or New Zealand) and will continue his rehabilitation plan with a return to bowling to determine as part of their ash preparation.”
Medical assessment confirmed that injury is not a stress fracture. This would require surgery and sidelined it for months, as was experienced by Cameron Green, which was out for about six months.

Australia will host India in an ODI series of three matches in Perth on October 19, followed by a five -match T20I series starting from October 29. Veteran Indian batsmen Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will return to India’s lineup after a six -month gap.

Pat Cummins is in danger of missing start of Ashes 2025-26 series
