Pat Cummins has been missing from the Australian dugout since the West Indies Tour, as he last played for the side in July. The skipper, who has not yet decided on the return date, has expressed a desire for convenience in all 5 matches of the ash.

Pat Cummins quoted that the long difference between scheduled matches is for the reason why he can facilitate in all sports in ash.

The Australian skipper reported that the fact was a clear eight-day gap between the first three tests of the series, one of the main reasons why the back up could not be a major issue. However, he has also dropped an update that Australia cannot live with a single attack throughout the series.
“Most years, one of the least bowlers goes down normally,” Cummins said.
“Joshi (Hazelwood) missed half the last year.”
“Obviously, the situation changes, but I think you just need a fresh bowler, who can come and bowl in a Test match with an eye in a Test match.”
