The case of cancellation of the marriage of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and singer-composer Palash Muchhal has taken a new turn after some new allegations by actor-producer Vidya Mane. Mane claimed that Muchhal was caught red-handed in bed with another man during a wedding ceremony. After which the program was canceled due to valid reasons. Mane also accused the entire Muchhal family of financial misconduct.
Smriti Mandhana’s wedding to Palash Muchhal was scheduled a few days after the Women’s World Cup 2025, where India emerged as champions. They were all set to tie the knot on November 23, 2025. But the situation started changing drastically.
Smriti Mandhana-Palash Muchhal’s marriage canceled after almost a month
Earlier it was reported that due to the medical condition of Smriti Mandhana’s father, the wedding ceremony was postponed. Later it was said that Palash needed to seek medical support. After which it was reported that the wedding was postponed before being officially canceled in December 2025.
Netizens were in complete disbelief at the news of Smriti Mandhana’s wedding being cancelled. Many people started blaming Palash for all the incidents. However what actually happened behind the scenes is still an unresolved matter for netizens.
Now, Vidyaan Mane’s clarification has taken the speculations to a new level, as he claims that Palash was caught red-handed with another woman in bed.
‘Palash Muchhal beaten by Indian women cricketers’
During an interview with Hindustan Times he said, “I was at the wedding ceremony (November 23, 2025) when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. It was a horrific scene; he was beaten by Indian women cricketers. The whole family is Chindi thieves. I thought he would get married and settle down in Sangli, but it had a completely opposite effect on me.”
Mane also termed the Muchhal family as fraudsters. He said that through Smriti Mandhana’s family, he came in contact with the Muchhal family for a film project. But what happened later forced the actor-producer to file a complaint.
Mane said, “When I met his mother (Amita Muchhal) last month, she said that the budget to release the film has now increased to ₹1.5 crore. She asked me to invest Rs 10 lakh more, otherwise I would not get any money back. She started blackmailing me and threatened to throw me out of the film; thus, I was forced to file a complaint.”
Palash Muchhal replied on Instagram
However, Muchhal had denied the allegations made by Vidyayan Mane through his Instagram story. Through a social media story, Muchhal said that the claim made by Mane is ‘completely baseless and factually incorrect’, adding that they will deal with the matter by taking appropriate legal steps.
Muchhal wrote on Instagram Story, “In light of the allegations made by Sangli-based Vidyaan Mane on social media, I wish to state that these claims against me are completely baseless and factually incorrect. They are made with malicious intent to tarnish my reputation, and will not be challenged. My lawyer Shreyansh Mithare is exploring all legal avenues and this matter will be dealt with strictly through proper legal channels.”
