Ahead of the match, a video of Delhi Capitals has caught the attention of cricket fans on social media platforms. It shows an awkward altercation between two DC players, Sameer Rizvi and Rehan Ahmed.
Rehand Ahmed joins Delhi Capitals as replacement
Rehan Ahmed is a new joiner in the team. He joined the Delhi-based IPL franchise as an England opening batsman ben duckett. In place of the English opener, the franchise has secured the services of another Englishman in the form of leg break spinner Rehan Ahmed.
The 21-year-old England international has already joined the team and has seen some incredible moments with the team. They led the team to a mammoth score of 264 runs against PBKS and in the next match, Delhi Capitals were bundled out for only 75 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Language barrier between Ahmed and Sameer Rizvi
Ahmed, who is one England national team The cricketer was born on 13 August 2004 in Nottingham, England and has Pakistani heritage in his blood. His father, Naeem Ahmed, is a former fast bowling all-rounder from Mirpur who moved to the UK from Pakistan in 2001. Rehan, a British-Pakistani cricketer, is fluent in English but can also understand Hindi.
The interesting fact is that Spinner understands Hindi well but cannot speak it. On the other hand, Sameer Rizvi, who is Hindi speaking but not fluent in English. Despite language difficulties, these two young cricketers are getting along well with each other.

Delhi Capitals is living dangerously
As yet, Delhi Capitals Are in seventh place in the 10-team league. They currently have only 6 points as they have managed to win only 3 out of 8 matches. With 5 losses and a poor net run rate of -1.060, their chances of making the play-offs look slim.
22-year-old middle-order batsman Sameer Rizvi started the campaign with a bang, but gradually his form declined. In 8 matches and 7 innings, the budding batsman has so far scored a total of 209 runs at a strike rate of 149.28 with a highest score of 90. On the other hand, his teammate, 21-year-old Rehan Ahmed is yet to make his debut in the Indian Premier League.
