It has been being reported for a long time that ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 in India, many players from teams like Oman, Italy, USA, Canada and so on are facing visa denials, but it was not until USA fast bowler Ali Khan was denied a visa that it became such a big topic of discussion.
A new controversy has arisen after Pakistan-born USA fast bowler Ali Khan’s Indian visa was rejected.
Pakistan-born USA team fast bowler Ali Khan has been denied an Indian visa for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in India. This has created uncertainty over his arrival in India for the ICC T20 World Cup matches.
The 35-year-old, who was born in Pakistan’s Punjab region, shared the update on his Instagram Story and captioned it, “India denied visa but KFC wins.” The United States has not yet officially announced its team, but Ali Khan is considered to be a part of the team.
He was seen playing for the Gulf Giants in this season of ILT20 in 2025-26. He has taken 93 wickets in 99 T20 matches of his career and he is not a child who does not know these rules, but he has faced them many times in his career. Visa delay for players on Pakistan visa is part of normal Indian official process
With so many visas either being rejected or put on hold, a detailed preview of these circumstances needs to surface. RevSportz reporter Rohit Juglan has mentioned every detail necessary to understand the scheme of things.
“Whenever someone goes to a country’s embassy to apply for a visa, they ask about the person’s country of origin or the place of residence of his or her parents. For India and Pakistan, the case has always been the same. Usman Khawaja, Ali Khan or Rehman Ahmed, whatever your name is, if your place of origin is in Pakistan or your parents are from that country, the Indian embassy does not have the jurisdiction to grant a visa directly,” Juglan said while describing the scenario of India and Pakistan visa problems. Clarified.
He added, “Such people are asked to submit their documents, and the documents are forwarded to the Ministry of External Affairs, and visas cannot be granted until approval is received from a government ministry. They are treated under special circumstances, and such powers are not under the control of the embassy.”
USA management pulls up Ali Khan for spreading anti-India propaganda
As mentioned above, fast bowler Ali Khan was informed from the Indian Embassy; However, the bowler completely changed the pace and gave rise to massive hype.
According to Juglan, even the USA team management has blamed Ali Khan for his misconduct and his evil intentions behind turning this very common incident into a controversy.
The message seems to be quite clear: that the visa is only denied for now; These have been delayed and will be distributed after clearance from India’s external affairs ministries, which can conduct background checks on passports of Pakistani origin in view of tensions between the two countries.
