The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 17-member squad for the upcoming T20I TRAI-series as well as Afghanistan as well as the Asia Cup 2025. Salman Ali Aga will continue to work as the captain of the Pakistan National Cricket Team in the small format of the game.
There was speculation that senior professionals Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan would be called back to the T20I side, but Pakistan selectors clung to their strategy and chose exciting young talents for the upcoming T20I Tri-Series and Asia Cup 2025.

The selectors have also shown confidence for the upcoming T20i Tri-series in young names like Hasan Nawaz, Salman Mirza, and Sufayan Makim, which begins at Sharjah Cricket Stadium from 29 August, and the Asia Cup 2025 next month in UAE.
